We spent a very relaxed Sunday this past weekend, as there had been some "disease and pestilence" going around and we decided to let the sickies rest. And, although I didn't get all dressed up, I decided to take some fashion pictures anyway to give a more accurate portrayal of how I usually look about the house. Unfortunately, being so busy throughout the week, I tend to fall into the trap of comfy knit shirts and jeans. Today I made an effort, although putting on the regular attire, to be more fashion conscious. It's amazing what a simple set of jewelry and some great shoes can do to make you feel more feminine (oh yes, and clean hair! ;). In fact it goes so far as to make the outfit something that I could wear "out" without hurting my inner fashionista. (Yes, I admit that I hate going into a grocery store unless I am "put together". The mortification must be good for my pride, though. Guess I should do it more often. ;).
What I'm wearing:
T-shirt - by Mossimo Supply Co. from Target
I love this piece because it's extra long and I don't have to worry about keeping everything in place all day. Yay for modest options! I don't pull it down the whole way though, as I think it hits a more flattering angle when I keep it a bit wrinkled and hip length.
Jeans - by Mossimo Premium Denim from Target
Wedge Shoes - by Xhiliration from Target
Does anyone see a pattern here? :P I didn't realize so much of my stuff was from the same place! I got these shoes a few years ago and just love them! They've held up real well and go great with most everything!
Pendant necklace and dangle earrings - Made by Me. Bracelet was a gift.

Oh yeah, and does anyone even feel like it's still spring??? I've been thinking it's summer for nearly a month - it came so early this year! :)

The Rules: List 7 things that make You Awe-Summm then pass the award on to 7 bloggers you love. Tag your recipients (so they know they've won) & link back to the Queen that tagged you.
This is going to be tough! How am I to list seven awesome things without being too much of a braggart? :P Well, here's my best try...
1. I can multitask. Singing to music while washing dishes and keeping up a conversation is nothing. Similarly, I often get in trouble from doing too many things at the same time. (ie. "skyping" while I am practicing my voice lesson. :P)
2. I can get (most) things done on time, albeit nearly killing myself in the process. I may turn grey while finishing up a costume for an event or styling my hair before the ball, but it's rare that I show up late (which is also a pet peeve of mine ;).
3. I can make up a song about anything you say, no matter how random. In fact, it comes across as so legit that my sister often asks me, "Where did you hear that song?"
4. I can do it myself. I am such a "cheapskate" that I hate buying things that I can make myself, and will even refrain from taking all sorts of helpful classes because I figure I could learn on my own. This results in some things never happening...
5. I make the best "pre-prepared" dinners on the planet. Ask my sisters...no one can quite assemble that macaroni and cheese the way that I do (although Anna is learning quickly ;).
6. I can lose an argument. This may not seem like a big deal, but it used to be quite an impossibility. Oh yes, and I am reaaaallll humble. (P.S. For anyone who doesn't recognize sarcasm...that was it.)
7. I can read up on any subject and "fake" that I am an expert. (Oops! Did I just tell my readers that? Please believe me, I really do know about fashion! Honest! ;)
Blogs I would like to pass this on to (ok, so I only thought of 5...tag yourself if you are awesome and just link back to me! ;) - The Nina Line - KaHolly - Beggarly Bouquet - The Faithful Fashionista - Follow Me
Please be sure to have a wonderful rest of the week! Your prayers are appreciated - things will be a bit crazy here for the next 12 days or so... God bless! :)
