#1 - Wear new shoes...

They must be totally fab and dear to your heart. These ones came into my possession after a long and exhausting search for ones similar to what my little sisters wore in Bekah's wedding (and I adored). After being sold out in the right sizes and color, I finally stumbled upon the last pair (which is half a size too small)... and bought them. It's amazing how my feet don't hurt half as badly as they should when I've got my "dream shoes" on.
#2 - Keep your family close by...

Without my sissy "Sunshine" and the BIL, the party just wouldn't be the same. This also goes for the rest of my priceless relatives - whether I want a laugh, a hug, or a kick in the pants, they are always there to administer just the right sort of medicine! Love them!
#3 - Don't forget your friends...

...Especially when you feel an impromptu photo shoot coming on. A couple of best friends, white sunglasses and a beaten-up garage make the perfect setting. And make sure you dress for the occasion. It is worth it.
#4 - Learn how to play the guitar...

This works best when you have more people than instruments, because you can share! ;) Learning a song for the first time (even if it's made up of all of 2 chords) is an amazing event when you've got at least 3 people who are totally clueless but having the time of their lives.
(Note: I can now play 6 chords. :)
#5 - Celebrate our risen Savior...
Now, let's see if I can remember all of these for next year... :)
