Cold Weather Accessories: Part 1 - Gloves

Gloves are a terribly important part of any girl’s wardrobe. Only in recent years has the practice of wearing gloves on an everyday basis disappeared. With winter fast approaching, it’s definitely time to start thinking about your hands. Not only will a pair of pretty gloves add interest to your outfit and keep your hands warm, they’ll also protect you from coming in contact with germs, which is certainly beneficial this time of year.

Here are some of my favorite gloves! I fell in love with the quality and price tag of Target’s leather gloves last year, and was thrilled to know they’re offering them again!

Isotoner Red Leather Driving Gloves, $17.99 / Merona Yellow Sheepskin Gloves, $17.99

Spicy red or cheerful yellow, either one of these gloves will brighten your outfit. Pair with earth-toned outerwear and a coordinating scarf to make a bold contrast.

Merona Cuffed Gloves, $17.99 / Merona Enamal Button Gloves, $17.99

Button, button, whose got the button? This fun embellishment adds interest to practical black leather gloves. If your style is classic and simple, try pairing these these gloves with a longer coat and a bold hound’s-tooth or jewel toned scarf.

Here’s a little something for you girls that like to make a statement – bold contrast stitching on black leather will pop, especially when paired with a bright coat or jacket. Try wearing with a red or navy peacoat. The bronze metallic gloves are very trendy right now. They’ll work well with more neutral colors, like forest green or chocolate brown.

Here’s a fun way to incorporate a little color into your day if you’re not too bold and daring! The subdued colors are still rich, and will pull your outfit together.
