First of all, I wrote up my annual Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Fashion "Live" Report once again. It was so much fun to praise and criticize the evening gowns last year that I did it again. (lol) You can view the report at the AmandaBeth Online Facebook Page - as well as checking out last year's commentary (as well as the Oscars!). I don't watch either of these events or support the actors or the films they are representing... but I do enjoy writing about the fashion that's involved. There sure is a lot to see (and critique! :).
Secondly, I am sure that all of you are aware of the terrible devastation that Haiti is enduring (due to aftermath of a major earthquake and lack of supplies and equipment) and I would like to encourage you to offer the people of this nation your support. Obviously, funds are desperately needed.
You can use the Red Cross Button shown here to place a donation (this was specially set up by Blogger) or give through another charity of your choice. Prayer for the country of Haiti is just as vital, as there are wounds there that money alone cannot heal. Faith and Action walks hand and hand, so please consider donating towards disaster relief and continue to keep everyone involved in prayer. They are going to need long-term support...
Lastly, there is a Special Election taking place in my state of Massachusetts on Tuesday. While I do not want to saturate this blog with politics (lol) or tell you whom you should vote for, I just want to encourage those of my Massachusetts readers to make a stand for your convictions and get out and VOTE. The path towards change lies with us, the people of the United States of America.
I hope everyone has a very blessed week. A full Golden Globes fashion report will be coming tomorrow... as well as more from the US Figure Skating Championships! :)
